Client: A leading independent power producer operating in East Africa
Requirement: The client was taking a major power project to financial close but was being consistently frustrated by political and bureaucratic challenges.
Solution: We carefully mapped the country's key decision makers, including politicians and senior civil servants, and worked out where the supporters and the blockers of the project were located, as well as the reasons behind their stance on the project. Based on this analysis, we orchestrated a strategic communications campaign, mobilising the client's senior leadership, supporters in government and our own in-country contacts. This combined effort effectively advocated for the project to be approved by the Ministry of Finance and the Attorney-General.
